Continuing his downward performance slide, God successfully delivered two of the big things I was praying for: peaceful elections in Iraq and continued humility. He struck out, woefully, on help staying focused and snow. But, hey, it’s much better than nothing, as well as the nasty alternatives.

(0)I was browsing LaSalle’s excellent new website last night, and I happened upon a good picture of Amy in Oliver. For those of you not in the know, my sister is one of the best sopranos in New England if not the world, and totally owned the role of Nancy. She startlingly inhabited the role, and her voice was as angelic as always but with a new resonance that totally took me off guard. We all went in with high expectations, as always, and were still completely blown away. Way to go, sis.
We all anxiously await her role as the retarded girl in Dancing at Lughnasa.
PS – Nancy is a “woman of loose morals” in Oliver, fyi. Amy is moral to the point of making everyone else increasingly sure they’re going to hell.
